The ideal candidates will play a critical role in enhancing CJTF-HOA force protection, mission assurance, and operational effectiveness for U.S. Forces in Mogadishu, Somalia and other locations. This position involves providing operational advice, planning assistance, vulnerability assessments, and integration of counter-improvised threats (C-IT), counter-unmanned aerial systems (C-UAS), and other force protection challenges. SMEs will facilitate threat information exchange, synchronize force protection capabilities, and support training and exercise activities. Responsibilities: -Conduct operations integration to counter improvised threats, unmanned aerial systems, and other force protection challenges. -Provide operational advice, pre-deployment analysis, and planning assistance for U.S. Forces’ combat and contingency operations. -Execute training, participate in exercises, and develop lessons learned for rotational forces. -Perform vulnerability assessments and recommend material/non-material solutions to mitigate threats. -Track emerging technologies and facilitate threat information exchange with stakeholders. -Ass

The U.S. Zone within the airport perimeter includes the U.S. Embassy, United Nations elements, and the African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS). This location supports senior U.S. personnel, advises the Somali National Army’s elite Danab Brigade, and helps coordinate broader U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM) operations across East Africa. The Mogadishu Base Complex serves as a permanent, high-security hub with a continuous U.S. diplomatic and military presence. It relies on complex industrial power systems, established water purification capabilities, and robust life-support infrastructure maintained year-round by LOGCAP personnel. Duties & Responsibilities • Install, test, and repair grounding systems in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and manufacturer recommendations. • Plan new or modified installations to minimize material waste. • Ensure access for future maintenance and avoid unsightly, hazardous, or unreliable wiring in accordance with specifications and local electrical codes. • Prepare sketches showing the location of wiring and equipment, or follow diagrams and blueprints, ensuring concealed wiring is installed before completion of walls, ceilings, and flooring. • Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit using tools such as hacksaws, pipe threaders, and conduit benders. • Pull wiring through conduit, with assistance from an el
